Scott Hatcher, an English and Literature specialist, taught at Candlebark from 2008 to 2011. During his career he has taught in London and a range of Australian schools that included Seymour Technical High School, Xavier College and Western Autistic School. Scott and his partner Amy have also been foster carers for at-risk kids and respite carers for kids with intellectual and physical disabilities. Scott is a top-level coach of girls’ hockey, and he played hockey with great success earlier in his career. Since leaving Candlebark, Scott has been working at the Wattle Unit, an education setting for students with mental health issues who are disengaged with school.
