Tom has taught instrumental guitar for many years at both Candlebark and Alice Miller. He is a contemporary guitarist and teacher who has played with bands such as The Bombay Royale, The Congas (Jamaica), Nai Palm,
The Abbyssinians (Jamaica), and The Putbacks. Tom has performed at festivals and venues across the world including Glastonbury, WOMAD, the Woodford Folk Festival, and the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC.
He also runs the well-renowned Melbourne-based studio, Hope St Recordings. In addition to teaching many students in instrumental guitar, Tom facilitates the Guitarkestra elective at Alice Miller.
